Kent I-Bond Fund is a Grand Rapids, Michigan based bond fund which assists the families and friends of persons detained by U. S. immigration services when they cannot afford to free their loved ones from indefinite detention in local or privately run jails. The fund provides free or no interest bonding assistance for persons detained who have connections to any part of the State of Michigan. All bonds are set by an immigration court. As of January 2026, we are the only immigration bond fund in Michigan. We were founded in Kent County Michigan in March of 2017 by lawyers involved in the immigration bond system in Grand Rapids.
